HELLLOOOO GUESS WHO'S BACK?

I am so glad my first semester in Singapore is finally over and now I'm on my mid-year break. I will keep my story on my first semester in Singapore for another time (maybe). So, a few days ago I went to National Gallery with my friends, Sarah and Thania. It was my second time there. My first time was visiting the National Gallery was last Friday for a school trip.

I was lucky to get the privilege of getting a free guided tour around the DBS Singapore Gallery. My group was guided by a very nice man called, Mr Patrick. He took us to the DBS Singapore Gallery and explained the paintings that we were seeing and introduced us to artists whose names we've never heard of before. He introduced us to Nanyang Artists and told a story about Georgette Chen's love-life. He introduced me to Georgette Chen, and now I am obsessed with her.

It was a lovely evening. Could have been better if someone in my group would shut up and did not nag during the entire tour and actually showed some respect and interest. I understand that this kind of thing does not appeal everyone. However, it is just a shame when you just can't show some basic respect and ended up ruining the mood. But, thank God for Mr Patrick's wit. The mood and ambience were saved a bit.

So, I got an all access pass which means I can go to all exhibitions and wander around the exhibition. I decided to bring along my friends on my second visit since I've been to the National Museum with them before and we had a blast.

Places like these and library and bookshops are my kind of paradise. Once I am inside, it will take me hours to get out.
