I turned 17 back in September and I wanted to write this post in celebration of me being a step closer to (young) adulthood. Unfortunately, school got in the way so I dragged my blogging schedule.... until now. I planned to call this post '16 Things I've Learned at 16' but I think it's way too lte for that so being the adaptable person that I am, I decided to change the tittle and voila, it suits the momentum and current euphoria. So yeah, here it is;
16 Things 2016 Has Taught Me
- Expect nothing. Learn to accept everything that is being thrown at you and try to make it work.
- Always open yourself to new things. You never know what's gonna come through that door.
- Being alone is okay.
- YouTube is a hell hole.
- Don't go to YouTube unless you've finished all of your work.
- DO NOT PROCRASTINATE!
- Get your shit done before the weekend.
- Eat more carbs and moisturise. Your brain runs on glucose and you have a dehydrated skin.
- Drink more water and stay hydrated.
- Don't. hold. your. pee.
- Sometimes you just have to raise your voice.
- Double-cleanse every night. Always.
- If you can't say it, write it out.
- Get a monthly concession bus pass so you can take a long bus ride during those lonely nights.
- Never feel hesitate to ask for your rights.
- You are your best-est best friend.
