Rant+Reviews (sort of) = RAVIEWS?!?!

I have an elder sister and mom who both are into make-up. For a (self-proclaimed) make-up junkie like me, of course it's a blessing. There are a lot of perks of having family members who are into make up.

One of the reasons is that I could save a lot of money since I can share some products with them (except for pressed powder, brushes, and sponges of course! The product itself is enough, I don't need bacterias and germs as bonus, thank you.) so I don't have to purchase one with my own money. Even-though I'd love to have my own full make-up kit or set and have it organised on my dressing table but I think having Maybelline's Baby Lips lining up on my dressing table is enough for me now.
And also whenever my sister or mother don't like a certain product, they tend to just left it hanging and not use it and I see this as a waste (and opportunity). So, I always ended up collecting those 'unwanted' babies and keep it in my make-up pouch. Yes, pouch. Not on the dressing table because I don't want to get caught for keeping their unwanted make-ups (pssstt).
One day I found 2 of my sister's lipsticks in VERY different shades right after she left the house for uni. They are NYX lipsticks in red and nude shade. I put on the red lipstick and oh my god it's so liquid-y and very very pigmented and it got messy so easily and I ended up looking like a clown and I harshly removed them, then I just put both lipstick inside of the drawer.
I left them in the drawer and never bother to touch them till last Valentine's Day. On valentine's day I went out with my friends and I put make up on because I wanted to look nice. Then I saw the nude lipstick that I've never really touched before and decided to put it on with a brush since it's almost finished. I'm pretty sure I used a brush for eye-shadows, Not a lip brush. It still looked good though!
Then, on my first day of Chinese New Year break, I was in my room feeling very very bored and started to play with the eyeliner and lipstick. First, I applied the nude lipstick with the 'eyeshadow' brush then with the same brush I applied the red lipstick. It ended up looking very good! I love the purplish-pink shade which is the result of blending the nude and red lipstick together. I can't wait to have an event or party to attend and have this shade applied on my lips again!

The red lipstick is from NYX's range of Lip Smacking Fun Colors in LSS 513 Electra.
And the nude one is NYX's Tinted Lip Spa in shade TLS 06 Hush.

And the nail polish I had on my nails is Oriflame's MORE by Demi in Black Red. The nail polish is actually isn't mine but I'm planning to get one in different shade because it's actually a good nail polish with a good price!
Messing around with make-up and experimenting different looks is actually fun! I can't wait to be able to pull off the dark lips and strong eye look. And I seriously still needs to practice more on applying eyeliner and drawing my brows. I'm on my way to have a strong brow and winged liner game, so don't worry. The time will eventually come.
And oh just last night I discovered about Aisyah Laila, a 13-year-old make-up artist from Indonesia. Yep! She's only 13! She's younger than me and her skill is supeeerrrrrr and this intimidates me. But somehow it relieves me knowing the fact that there's a girl out there who is good at make-up and does not afraid to show it and prove that knowing shits about make-up isn't actually bad!
I've been experimenting with make-up since I was in 9th grade. It all started due to the amount of make-up tutorial videos that I watched was unhealthy. I watched Michelle Phan's videos in the morning, then Zoella's, then Tanya Burr's and ended up having a beauty gurus marathon the whole weekend. I find make-up tutorial videos fun to watch and it developed to curiosity on how does it feel to have make-up on my face, how will I look if I have make-up on and my blemishes covered? Curiosity killed the cat so, I tried to apply the 'knowledge' that I've learnt from youtube videos on my face (yes).
It irritates me how whenever I put make-up on there will always people who spilled out irritating comments like “I think you look so much better without makeup.” , “I like girls who look ~*natural*~, “I don’t care what other people think about how I look.”, and et cetera. Or when I am having a conversation with my friends there will always be someone who brought up the talk about that girl who wear eyeliner or how teenagers in first world country like to put make-up on and they even wear make-up to school. I hate whenever someone brought these to the conversation because:
1.) I think it's up to them if they want to wear eyeliner or even full make-up because it's their face. It's their right to wear make-up as a form of expression or maybe they just want to experiment with different looks since it's actually the right time to experiment with this kind of thing as you're trying to figure out your identity and persona or the person you are. I don't think you will have time figuring out these things once you're already in uni or older. People tell you to be yourself, but what if I still have no idea of who am I as a person? What if I'm still skeptical on what makes me, me? Is it a sin to look up to somebody else and try to do what they're doing and knowing whether it is your thing or not? Is it wrong to try a lot of new different things? If the answer to both questions are yes, then how am I (or are we) supposed to figure ourselves out? How to find our true identity? How to know whether we enjoy doing a certain thing or not? In this case, if I am not allowed to put make-up on then how will I know that I actually enjoy doing other thing besides from sitting in front of my laptop for HOURS. And if it's wrong for teenagers for having make-up on then, talent like what Aisyah Laila or Amanda Steele has won't have a container to relocate it. And that's a waste of talent.
2.) They didn't purchase those products with your or your parents' money.
3.) HELLO CAN'T YOU SEE YOUR FELLOW FIRST-WORLD-COUNTRY-NESE A.K.A. THE GIRL YOU'RE TALKING TO IS ACTUALLY INTO MAKE-UP AND SOMETIMES LIKES TO WEAR IT TOO.
4.) I don't like to argue about stupid things or talks but this kind of talk actually irritates me but I find it stupid so uGH.
5.) Some things are better kept to yourself. You don't like make-up and actually confident going out and exposing your skin to the world and blessed with a beautiful skin and such confident to go out without having to cover your face with a ~*mAsK*~? COOOOOL!!!!!! But, that girl that you're talking about isn't you. Bye.
Make-up might be de ri·gueur to some and something that's not worth to spend time on for some but, that doesn't make it okay for you to spit on nasty comments to those who put make-up on or saying things like "GIRLS WITH RED LIPS ARE HOTTER!!!" or "WHY ARE YOU WEARING A NUDE LIPSTICK YOU ARE WASTING YOUR MONEY WHATS THE POINT OF WEARING NUDE LIPSTICK" or "EWW WHY ARE YOU WEARING PINK LIPSTICK??? B*TCH YOU THINK UR NICKI MINAJ? EVEN NICKI DOESN'T WEAR THOSE KIND OF LIPSTICKS ANYMORE!!!!" because everyone deserves to feel beautiful. If it's something that makes someone feel good and confident, why not? And again, some things are better kept to yourself. Please use your freedom of speech wisely.
And to those of you who want to try on make-up but afraid of what people might say, JUST GO AHEAD PUT EM ON! JUST SCREW THEM! And don't forget to double cleanse afterwards (remove the products with make-up remover or cleansing oil or olive oil in case you don't have either then, wash your face with your facial wash and scrub your face once-twice a week) so you won't have skin problems due to the germs, bacteria, and dirt caused by the products. Try to look the reflection of yourself at the mirror and take lots of selfies and see how you look. Are you happy with the results? You're still not sure? Go to your mom or close friend or someone whom you trust and very open and not judgmental. Ask them their honest opinion and they will give you either a compliment or constructive criticism. Both are good. You need both or either. You need a compliment to feed your ego, of course and the constructive criticism well... it is called a constructive criticism for something.
Just a reminder that the only person you should please is YOU. Just do whatever shits you want to do and don't bother listening to others unless they pay your bills and feed you. If the one who keeps on telling you these things you find irritating is the one who feed you and pay your bills then just hold on! Listen to them, do what do they want to do (as long as it is reasonable and rational) and work your butt off so you can finally live on your own.
Basically the paragraph above this sentence that I written is something that I've been telling myself lately. So yeah, just keep holding on and hopefully we'll be #BO$$(es) in 5 years time. CAN I GET AN AMEN???
