Avada Kedabrush!

let's pretend that i'm actually holding an elder wand ok

Hello there!

So, I'm already in the middle of my school /slash/ 'summer' break. It's summer all year long actually but let's pretend that I am actually one of those cool West Coast Kids. I can't believe that I actually survived first year of high school and will be on my second year on August. THIS IS CRAZY!

I realised that I haven't really done anything useful or productive and it's been a very lazy and boring holiday. I haven't even finished reading a single book. And I haven't even updated my blog and actually make something. Where the hell are those New Year Resolutions that I planed on doing 6 months ago.

But...

Something happened today.

I believe something must have had hit my head. Hard. I woke up early today (and I'm currently not fasting at the moment) and made up my bed RIGHT AWAY. And guess what? The next thing I realised, I was actually cleaning my make-up brushes! YAY FOR PRODUCTIVITY!

I don't remember the last time I washed my brush and yes I know that's so disgusting...

I cleansed the brushes using this special detergent for sponges which I got from Daiso.

Detergent for Puff and Sponges

Daiso

SGD 2.00

So basically I placed all of my brushes and sponges inside of a bowl and squeezed the detergent into the bowl then I added tap water to the bowl and soaked them for quite a while. I don't remember the exact time but basically all I did was: soaked dem brushes → watched 2 episodes of Teen Wolf Season 5 (I KNOW I'M LATE) → rinse them brushes and sponges → let them air dry and AVADA KEDAVRA! Or should I say, AVADA KEDABRUSH, all of the foundations, concealers, eyeshadows, lipstick, basically all of the make-up pigments and residues, VANISHED! And now my brushes and sponges are all squeaky clean! Well, it's not exactly squeaky clean actually. Some of the pigments are still there (as you can see on the pictures of the sponges there are still some pigments remain), I believe it's because I don't clean them regularly But for a $2.00 detergent, it's actually good. I used to clean my brushes with my shampoo and the results weren't as satisfying as cleaning it with this detergent so, kuddos for Daiso!

My dressing table at the moment. Yeah I do aware that it's messy but,
once all of the brushes and sponges are dry I will definitely tidy it up.
And yep, I do put some snacks on my dressing table just because.

Love,

Nurra
